General Questions
Introductress is a platform where women ("Cupids") get paid to set up their female friends on safe, fun, no-pressure blind dates with vetted male clients. Think of it as monetizing the matchmaking you already do in your group chat.
Not in the traditional sense. There's no swiping, no algorithm, no messaging strangers yourself. Every match is made by a real person, a Cupid, who actually knows the friend she's referring.
Currently, we are available in the following cities: Toronto, Vancouver, NYC, Seattle, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Diego. We are now expanding and will be adding most major cities in the USA and Canada in the next few weeks, so please be sure to ask if your city isn't already on the list.
Anyone 18 or older can join as a Cupid or a client. Friends referred by Cupids don't need to sign up themselves to go on a date, though they may be invited to create an account afterward.
Traditional matchmaking agencies typically rely on paid staff matchmakers who don't personally know their clients. Introductress works the opposite way. Matches come from people who already know the friend they're referring, which is the whole reason it tends to work better.
For Cupids
Sign up, complete quick ID verification, and you'll get access to profiles of vetted male clients in your city. From there, you browse and match whenever you want.
No. If you've ever thought "you two would be so cute," you already have the only qualification that matters.
You're paid per completed, verified date. The minimum payment per date is US$250, up to US$700 depending on the client's requirements and how difficult it would be to meet these requirements. The payout is indicated with each client request before you start your search.
No. There's no quota, no minimum, and no schedule. Match when you have someone genuinely in mind, and don't when you don't.
Trust your instincts. This is the part you're already good at. Browse client profiles and think about who in your life would genuinely enjoy meeting that specific person. Good matches come from real knowledge of someone, not just "she's single."
Totally fine. There's no pressure to force a match. Some Cupids browse for weeks before the right fit comes to mind. That's normal.
No, and please don't try to. If she's not interested, that's a complete and valid answer. Forcing or pressuring a match is against our Code of Conduct and can result in account removal.
You'll see a client's verified profile, including their photos, basic info, and interests, enough to judge whether they'd be a good fit for someone you know.
Yes, there's no limit on how many matches you make, as long as each one is a genuine, good-faith fit.
That's completely normal and doesn't affect your payment. You're paid for facilitating a real, completed date, not for guaranteeing chemistry.
No. Cupids participate as independent contractors, not employees.
Yes. We live in a connected world. If a Cupid has friends in different cities that would be interested in dating, then they are welcome to represent them all.
For Friends Going on Dates
Not necessarily. A Cupid can refer you and coordinate your date without you needing a full account, though you may be asked to confirm some details directly with us.
Yes, always. Full transparency is required. Your Cupid must tell you it's a set-up through Introductress before you agree to anything.
No. You can go purely for a nice dinner out with zero expectation of anything more. There's no requirement that you're "looking for something."
You can back out at any point, for any reason, right up until the date. No explanation required.
No. Your contact information is never shared with a client before the date. If you choose to exchange numbers or socials afterward, that's entirely up to you.
Always a public, well-reviewed restaurant or café, never a private residence or secluded location.
No, the date is covered by the client.
You can leave at any point, for any reason, no explanation required. See our Safety Policy for specific safety tips.
Report it immediately through our Report a Concern process. We investigate every report and take action, including permanently banning clients for confirmed misconduct.
No, but if there's genuine chemistry, what happens next is entirely your choice.
Safety & Trust
Every client goes through ID and photo verification before being added to our database. See our full Safety Policy for details.
The reported client is immediately suspended pending review. We follow up directly with the person who reported it, and confirmed violations result in permanent removal. No warnings, no second chances.
Every date is required to take place at a public, well-reviewed venue, with no contact information exchanged beforehand. See our Safety Policy for full details and safety tips.
You can report a concern at any time. There's no time limit or "too late" for filing a report.
We do not run criminal checks on clients by default. If a client is reported for bad behavior during a date or if there are other safety concerns, then we may run a criminal check.
Payments
Automatically, once a referred date is confirmed complete. No invoicing required.
Canadian residents are paid via Interact e-payments. USA residents are paid via PayPal or Venmo.
Signing up as a Cupid is free. There are no fees to be paid by Cupids or their friends, ever. This is a service that pays Cupids, not take money from them.

Yes. As an independent contractor, you're responsible for reporting income earned through Introductress.
Account & Privacy
Only what's necessary to facilitate a match. For example, a client's verified profile is shared with a Cupid considering a match. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Yes, ID and verification data is encrypted and access is restricted internally. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Yes, at any time, by contacting us. Some information may be retained afterward as described in our Privacy Policy, including to enforce safety bans.
There are no public profiles. Some trusted representatives at Introductress can view select details about a Cupid for operational needs (e.g. to be able to contact a Cupid). Clients or other Cupids signed up on our website are never able to see any details about a Cupid.
