1. DEFINITIONS
- Paying Client ("Client"): The individual who pays the Service Fee to arrange the date.
- Match ("Referred Date"): The individual selected by the Company who meets the Client's criteria and attends the date without paying a fee. (Referred to elsewhere on the site as the "referred friend.")
- Service Fee: The amount the Client pays the Company for matchmaking, vetting, and coordination. This does not cover food, drinks, or activities during the date unless stated otherwise.
- The Date: The scheduled in-person meeting between the Client and the Match at the agreed time and venue.
2. WHAT COUNTS AS A "FULFILLED" DATE
A Date is considered fulfilled, meaning the Service Fee becomes strictly non-refundable, when:
- Both parties arrive at the venue within 20 minutes of the scheduled time, and
- Both parties remain present for a minimum of 45 minutes, and
- The Match reasonably aligns with the profile the Client previously approved.
3. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
A. By the Paying Client
| Timing |
Matchmaker payout |
| More than 12 hours before the Date |
No payout |
| Between 2–12 hours before the Date (non-emergency) |
$100 |
| Rescheduling within the 2–12 hour window (same Match) |
$50 |
| Less than 2 hours before the Date (non-emergency) |
Full fee |
| Any of the above, for a documented emergency |
No payout |
B. By the Match (Referred Friend)
If the Match cancels at any time before the Date, the Client is notified immediately and may choose to:
- Receive a full refund, or
- Keep the credit on file for a priority rematch or reschedule.
In the case where the Match cancels or does not show, the date doesn't happen and the Matchmaker does not get paid.
4. TARDINESS. THE 20-MINUTE RULE
Both parties are expected to arrive on time. A 20-minute grace period applies.
- If the Client is late: The Match waits up to 20 minutes. If the Client hasn't arrived by then, the Match may leave. This is classified as a Client No-Show (Section 6). no refund, and the Matchmaker is paid their full fee.
- If the Match is late: The Client waits up to 20 minutes. If the Match hasn't arrived, the Client may leave. This is classified as a Match No-Show (Section 6). the Client is entitled to a full refund or priority rematch.
- If either party arrives within the 20-minute window, the Date proceeds normally. No refund applies for tardiness alone.
5. NO-SHOWS
- Client No-Show (fails to attend, no prior notice): 100% of the Service Fee is forfeited. Matchmaker is paid their full fee.
- Match No-Show (fails to attend, no prior notice): The Client receives a full refund and a complimentary discount on their next booking. The Matchmaker does not get paid.
6. EARLY DEPARTURES
The minimum duration for a fulfilled Date is 45 minutes.
- Client leaves early, for no cause: The Date is considered fulfilled. The Matchmaker is paid in full since the date is deemed "fulfilled" per Section 3.
- Match leaves early, for no cause (lack of interest or personal reasons unrelated to the Client's behavior): The Client is entitled to a full refund or a free rematch, subject to Company review. There is no penalty to the Match for this. She's simply exercising her right to end a date she's not enjoying. But since there is no payment by the Client, the Matchmaker does not get paid.
- Match leaves early, for cause (see Section 8 below. safety or Code of Conduct violation by the Client): The Client's account is terminated. The Matchmaker is paid their full fee.
7. "FOR CAUSE" VS. "WITHOUT CAUSE". SAFETY DETERMINATION
Absolute Right to Leave
Either party may immediately end the Date and leave the venue at any time if they feel physically threatened, harassed, or unsafe.
"For Cause" (Client forfeits refund, account may be terminated)
An early departure by the Match is "For Cause" if the Client violated the Code of Conduct, including but not limited to:
- Intoxication. visibly under the influence, or drinking excessively during the Date
- Harassment or inappropriate behavior. sexual advances, offensive language, invasive personal questions, hostility
- Physical boundary violations. unwanted touching, cornering, ignoring a request for space
- Gross misrepresentation. looking vastly different from their approved profile, or lying about non-negotiable facts (age by more than a few years, marital status, concealing a criminal record)
"Without Cause" (Client receives refund)
Lack of chemistry, awkward conversation, or lack of attraction are not treated as safety issues. If the Match leaves before 45 minutes simply because they "weren't feeling it," that's a completely valid reason to leave. It's just not treated as a safety-related departure, so:
- The Client receives a full refund or complimentary priority rematch.
- There is no penalty to the Match. She's free to end a date she's not enjoying, for any reason, at any point. However, since the Client doesn't pay, the Matchmaker does not get paid.
How a Disputed Claim Gets Resolved
When the Match claims "For Cause" and the Client claims "Without Cause," the Company follows this process:
- Mandatory immediate reporting. To claim "For Cause," the Match must report the specific safety issue to the Company via [App/Text Line/Email] within 2 hours of leaving the venue. If she doesn't report within that window, the departure is automatically classified as "Without Cause". meaning the Client is refunded.
- Fact-finding. The Company interviews both the Client and the Match independently, and may contact venue staff or management to corroborate claims of intoxication, arguments, or visible harassment.
- Venue partnerships as witnesses. At partner venues, staff may be asked to serve as an objective third-party witness to help verify what happened.
- Final determination. Company management reviews all collected information, along with both parties' platform history, and issues a final ruling based on a preponderance of the evidence.
8. DISCREPANCIES AND MISREPRESENTATION ("CATFISHING")
If the Match arrives looking significantly different from her approved profile, or is rude, obnoxious, misbehaving, or intoxicated, the Client must notify the Company immediately and end the Date.
If the Company verifies the misrepresentation: the Client receives a complimentary rematch or full refund. The Matchmaker is not paid.
9. UNFORESEEN EMERGENCIES
For severe weather, natural disasters, or documented medical emergencies on the day of the Date, both parties should notify the Company immediately. The Date will be rescheduled at no penalty to the Client.
10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
All reports of early departures, no-shows, or Code of Conduct violations must be submitted to [Contact Email/Phone] within 24 hours of the scheduled Date. The Company investigates by speaking with both parties before issuing a final ruling on refunds or penalties.
All decisions made by Company management are final.
